Summary

Description
English: The geometry of "turn circle" in fighter combat. This is an ideal diagram in which both planes are travelling the same turn rate, the same turn radius, and both at maximum sustainable load, (real world results may vary), to illustrate the concept. Note the closure during lead pursuit, almost colliding as the overshoot occurs, and then the reversal of closure during lag pursuit, with the greatest nose/tail separation when the attacker pulls lead.
