A keyhole slot in aircraft design is a type of structural or mechanical mounting feature resembling a keyhole — typically consisting of a round entry point that narrows into a straight slot. This configuration allows components to be secured quickly and reliably using fasteners that are inserted through the round section and slid into the slot to lock in place.
