Lockheed Corporation was an American aerospace company that merged with Martin Marietta in March 1995 to form Lockheed Martin. The company was founded in 1926 and was known for a number of important aircraft designs, including the P-38 Lightning, the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, and the F-117 Nighthawk.
